We used the Park & Ride service from Askham Bar into the city, although there are five other Park&Ride sites situated around the York outer ring road which offer the same service. Parking is free, and buses are every ten minutes, direct into the centre of town. So simple to use, and just £2.80 return for unlimited all-day parking.
